After many weeks of trying to figure out my itinerary, today, I finally came to a decision. As I spent over an hour with a very patient Continental agent trying to book this crazy itinerary, she asked me, "so is this it? are you ready to book?" Strangely, I found myself hesitating for a second or ten... it hit me - this is it! I'm doing this. I'm really leaving. As I responded with a "yes, I am ready to book this", I felt a blanket of sorrow and excitement cover me. It's still on me this blanket.

This sorrow makes me want to cry.. cry for everything that I am leaving behind..
